I think i am getting worse. one day the clients won't appear at all in the pink and green pictures i do of cars and whatever else i prefer to take pictures of. sometimes i wonder why they actually pay me. the thing is though now i am not very available i can con new clients into agreeing to my blurred nonsense that i like to do whereas before they had the upper hand and could get me to do whatever they wanted. strange really.

pretty boys don't appear much in my wedding albums. they are usually out of focus behind other people i prefer. cool uncles, old timers & wise guys can appear as much as they want. they give me the right expressions.

I think this shot isn't going into my wedding set because it will only serve to make potential clients' mothers in law put their foot down about the choice of wedding photographer

trying not to arouse mothers in laws' suspicions is not always easy.
i pretend i am looking at the screen at the back of the camera to justify pointing down. of course real cameras don't have screens on the back but people have already forgotten what real cameras are like.

More framing problems.
My wedding "colleagues" in the lab just shake their heads. they just fail to understand how anyone could actually risk hiring me i think.

I had been asked to see what a real wedding photo looks like from me. here we have one.... except i still get in trouble for these as well i don't know why.

i had a comment from a potential client about how i cut parts of people's heads off especially the tops. she was right i do do it but not as she thought because i do it by accident. fortunately the wonderful client here had no problems with it. this was cut as almost always on camera. ie it cannot be "corrected".

this is what the 14mm must have been designed for. way way better than the 50mm or even the 24mm.
the funny thing is at 14mm we are so "far" away from the bride even though i was almost right behind her

judging by the angles of the pictures and the longer dof this must have been the 14mm L my new wedding idea

my titles are fantasy my descriptions are bitterness.
it is hard to keep the head full of dreams and fantasies that are reflected in pictures you take in a daytoday world of email and telcon pricing price price price price price conversations.
at least i come home from my wedding travels with a few of these. i have to say i like this one the best of all the wedding shots i did that day.
i much prefer fantasy to reality.

I have now done enough weddings this year so far to keep me in food, my squat and shooting expired film for the rest of the year and i fully intend to produce whatever comes into my depraved imagination.
if i do any more weddings this year its because i like the people and like the style of photos they let me take.
